She's a soldier
Ebony flints tore up the ground beneath them as the bruja pounded down the stretch of the beach. Her nares told her that the femme Halfmoon was here most recently. The soil beneath her soon turned softer and lighter, causing pistons to work harder, to really dig into the sand now. Nares were flared and wide, for this fire hued vixen hated the lands that the darks stretched upon. Orbs took in the rare beauty of this place, yet it held nothing to her Valley, but again, there was some biased in there perhaps. Pistons tore about harder, in search of the one that had left the comfort and safety of her home, the Valley, for this place where the darks belonged.
Boa shook of the feelings of dread and hatred. Anything that reminded San of the darks was unwelcome to her. Did this mean that Halfmoon would be unwelcome? Could San look at her and talk to her, without thoughts of him coming up? She would have to wait and see was the decision she made. Spheres were ever watchful looking for any danger or any sign of Halfmoon, or any other equine. San's orbs showed not the fear she held, she was good at hiding it. Instead they filled with mystery, a bit of hurt, and importance. Talons began to lose grip, so towers slowed, chassis starting to sweat lightly from the run. Would she find Halfmoon here? All San needed to see was that the fae was alright, and had found her place, then she could leave this horrid place. San snorted, slowed, and waited for another to come and either greet her, or make an attempt on her life. One of the two....
to her own

[glow=red,2,300]Tyrex's orbs scanned the terra. There was a fae walking upon his land in the distance... his land! The whinnied and galloped over, his nostrils flaring and his orbs hardening. His ebony flints dug into the ground as he galloped to the femme walking upon his land.
"Aye, trespasser, what be you doing on my land? I demand to have a full explanation!"
His orbs widened and he snorted. He reared with anger, trying to show the mare his dominance. He did not like this mare... he did not like her one bit. [/glow]

Auds found the stag before he moved an inch towards her. Her senses were always on high alert, but here they were to the highest possible level. Orbs glared at the brute as he dug himself into the terra and shook it. He was a dark alright, San could tell from the way he moved. A snort was emitted from her maw, how she dreaded being here. The sight of this lord, whom she expected to be Tyrex, brought her back to thoughts of him and she did not want that at all. All she needed was to speak with Halfmoon, to find she was truly happy here, and then she could be on her way in the blink of an eye. Orbs traced the outline of the titan as he came towards her, spoke his fouled words, and displayed his "authority." Orbs held a certain air of tolerance for his actions, but spread thin. She spoke quickly after he reared, and spoke sharply,
This trespasser does have a name, tyrant. I assume that you be the one they "cursed" Tyrex? I am looking for the bruja Halfmoon who's rumored to reside here.
Muscles did not tense beneath fire hued pelt, but merely rippled a bit, to show that while the body may be small, the fight was ever present.

[glow=red,2,300]Tyrex's muscles tensed under his pelt, and his orbs flared. How dare she called him 'cursed'! He was not, and he wasn't like Filth! Only Halfmoon and Abby would understand that. Now, this fae wanted to take his lead mare away from her! Trying to stay polite, he said to the femme,
"Aye, she be here, and here is where she shall stay. She came to me in search for a home, and I gave her one! She is now my lead mare and mate. There is nothing you can do now!"
He snorted, his nostrils flaring. He stomped his hoof, as if telling the fae before him to answer. [/glow]

Maw showed its rare grin this time. She had succeeded in creating tension for this dark. She had finally put another of the darks in an unpleasant situation. She tallied it in her head, while auds pricked to receive his haughty massage. Ah, this one was trying still to be a gentleman. Well, we'll see how long that lasts! was her thought. Then a thought struck her. Perhaps this brute truly cared for this femme, Halfmoon. He had made her the lead mare, did that mean nothing? Perhaps so, perhaps not. Ah, he wanted to keep her here did he? Well she had no intention of taking her away unless it proved necessary. Orbs sized up the tyrant before her, she could take him. He certainly was larger than her, but in the past that had not yet proved to be a problem. She spoke next, her tone matter of fact and brisk. She uttered,
I have no desire to take her away from you, now. I'm only here to talk to her. Why do you instantly assume the worst of me, eh? So, if you please, I would like to speak to her. Now.
The last word was not uttered kindly towards him, and she waited for a response.

[glow=red,2,300]Tyrex, immediately sorry for his outburst, nodded to the mare. He said to her,
"Aye, she is this way. I am sorry for my actions. If you wish to speak with her, she is over by the water."
He awaited the mare's answer, and while he waited, myserious and odd thoughts crossed through his dial. He nibbled on some grass that was nearby and snorted. He had no taste for grass at the certain moment. It seemed odd, speaking to another herd leader that was not of his alliance. [/glow]

Nares had noticed the overwhelming scent of the ocean the second she'd laid hoof on his terra. This dark one before her certainly was odd. He seemed sorry for how he had spoken towards her, when that was what she'd expected, perhaps even a little less. San sensed that he was a little uncomfortable talking to her, and she savored the moment. Maybe she could prolong it a bit longer? She did need to speak with this brute briefly, and so she spoke once more to him,
"No need to be sorry. It's become to be expected of your kind. And yes, I'm aware I'm stereotyping you, blah blah blah. I do need to speak with you briefly about Halfmoon.

[glow=red,2,300] Halfmoon heard a familiar voice say her name in the distance. She walked out of the water towards the voice auds pricked curiously. She heard Tyrex say something, and then the voice said something again. It was then that she realized who the voice belonged to. San Haruba! She broke into a trot towards the 2 horses, wondering what San was doing here.
She pricked her auds, straining to hear what the 2 were saying. She stopped dead, far enough away so she could hear them, but not close enough for them to see her. What on earth is San doing here? she thought, confused. She then heard San say that she needed to talk to Tyrex about her. Her orbs widened as the song reached her auds. Why does San want to talk about me? she thought, startled. [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Tyrex, at seeing Halfmoon, looked back at San Haruba, his orbs widening. His auds were pricked to see what would happen, but realized it was he who had to make the response.
"Ah, here she is, San Haruba. Now, what do you want of Halfmoon?"
He stood back, his auds twitching to hear what either San Haruba or Halfmoon had to say...[/glow]

Auds were not surprised to detect the movement of Halfmoon coming this way. The very tips of her maw turned up into a grin. Like clockwork. was one of the many thoughts in her head at the moment. Orbs laughed slightly at Tyrex realizing he was expected to speak after a moment or two of silence. A barely perceptible nod was given to Halfmoon when she entered the scene, not out of disdain, but in expectancy or the darkened brute's reply. Pillars moved her a bit towards the femme that had attempted to hide. None slipped through San's radar. Only he had, once, and that had been one too many times. San craned her boa towards Halfmoon, but she kept an aud trained on Tyrex, in case he tried anything. She spoke to Halfmoon softly, and kindly. It was odd for San to show so much compassion, but she felt in necessary. She told her,
You may come out now. I came here to make sure you've found your place in the world, and that this...brute
San motioned with both orbs and a toss of her banner to the stag beside her now. She continued,
And it seems that you're happy according to him. And well, I just hope you like it here. If not you can always call me if things turn...sour here. And I'll come, with vigor.
Now pillars turned her to look at Tyrex. She addressed him directly, orbs glaring into him, jaw muscles clenching, muscles rippling with power. She told him with conviction,
And if you ever hurt her, or mistreat her, I'll be here faster than you can run. I may be small, but I can handle myself. And I can handle brutes like you. It is in your best interest not to harm her brute, for if you do, 'tis likely you shant wake up the next morning. She's made me her friend, and I'm anything if loyal.
A small snort was emitted from her furious maw as she told him so. San was not one to desert friends. She had few, true. But those she had she kept, and kept safe. Orbs intensified as she added,
Do not take lightly of this either, brute. This is not a threat. It's a promise.

[glow=red,2,300]Halfmoon shifted her orbs silently to and from the stag and the minx. She suddenly felt a sense of foreboding, as if now, that the words had been spoken, Tyrex surely would hurt her. She stepped back, nares flared, but stopped. She shifted her orbs, once again, to San, auds pricked, as she spoke to her mate.
When the last words of San's song reached her auds, she parted her kissers to speak. "San, you are one of the greatest friends I ever had, and I shall never forget that. I am happy here though, and you have no need to stay here, in a place I'm sure you would call horrid." she said gently, not wanting to offend her friend.
Her gaze shifted back to Tyrex, but she still spoke to San. "If he really does do anything to hurt me, I shall call upon you, but I really doubt that will happen any time soon, if even at all." When she finished her song, she walked over to the minx and the stag, not wanting to be standing far away from then.[/glow]

She's a soldier
Orbs fell silent as the femme spoke. So, she truly was happy here. It was both surprising and not to San Haruba. Auds turned towards Halfmoon as she spoke. San took her words into consideration. She was right, this place was not her ideal location. It was not that she did not like the location, no. The place was beautiful. She just hated the inhabitants. Mind made itself up, deciding that Halfmoon could fend for herself seeing as she'd chosen this place. San also sensed that perhaps Halfmoon was not as happy to see her as she'd hoped. How foolish of San. To think someone would welcome her. Orbs clouded for a moment, but the hurt was gone sooner than it had arrived. San spoke almost at a whisper,
This place is not horrid. Goodbye Halfmoon, and Tyrex. I shant see you again I suppose.
And with a final glare to Tyrex, and a glance to Halfmoon, orbs filled with pain. It all flooded back to her, her past. It couldn't catch up to her, it couldn't! And it would never be allowed to repeat itself. Jaw muscles tightened at the same time her sinew did, and pillars wheeled her around, and bound her forward. Flints dug deep into the sand, flinging it far behind her. She had to run, fast, and now. She had to escape all this. To return to the Valley. She had to. Pistons drove on at a rate most stags could not match as she flew away from those who'd hurt her. Orbs squinted, trying not to tear up. Boa shook her head to free herself from the thoughts but she could not. So she ran harder and faster. She was done with this thing called friendship.
to her heart

[glow=red,2,300]Halfmoon watched San gallop off, and a pang of sadness hit her like a kick in the guts. In her dial, a horrible thought formed, What-what if she hates me now?... She shook her dial, trying to clear it from that thought. Her nares flared as she snorted, and her orbs shifted to Tyrex. "Was it something I said?"[/glow] OOC: Sorry, my muse has completely disappeared, this is like my 5th post today

[glow=red,2,300]Tyrex watched the femme go and shifted his orbs to Halmoon. They softened lightly at the sight of the mare, and he sighed.
"Aye, do no worry. I am sure it was nothing that you said, me love. It twas probably me... I'm not so sure that she approves of me. But, don't worry my love, you are welcome to call upon her at anytime, for she indeed seems like a good friend to have."
He snorted, but did not mean it as an offensive nonverbal comment. Shaking his head lightly as a light snow started to fall. Trying to see to the femme departing in the didtance, he whinnied a short goodbye and turned back to Halfmoon. He hoped he would stay with her, for a long time to come.[/glow]
