Ebony flints caressed the ground that lay beneath them as a small vixen moved out across the woods. She had come from the direction of the Valley, but was obviously pointed and heading towards Silver Wood. San moved at a speed most would consider dangerous. But for San, this was normal. Pistons churned heavily, rotating with the earth it seemed. Nares opened wide to inhale deeply the scents of the others that roamed upon the land called the Silver Woods. She found the scents of a few others, all unknown by her. Still, she continued, orbs making sure she dodged all the trees that may endanger her.
Finally, she reached her destination, the highest hilltop in all of the wood. Daggers slowed almost to a stop, but not quite. Then she did stop, and orbs took in the sight. The land was beautiful, there was no denying it. But it could not even hold a candle to her home, the Valley. She continued gazing for a brief moment or two more. Then her mind turned her to the task she was originally here for. Maw opened and she called out to the land that lay spread out beneath her talons,
"Where be the brute of vix that owns this land? I have a need to speak with them.

all i want is y o u i want to see the light in your e y e s
tawny lenses flickered among-st the terrain, the sun was just about to come up so the east had a fiery glow to it. appendages scuffed along, letting the beau take in the surroundings. the aroma of pine needles was heavy on the air, towering pines concealed the russet beast. banter flicked to and fro, almost brushing the autumn earthen. the array of colors that swirled about the stallion were beautiful. reds, browns, yellows... they all fit together perfectly. the stallion halted, duos rotated to listen to the awkward silence that wove its way into the terrain.
all that was heard was the slightly raspy breaths that the stallion exhaled. wisps of mist fell upon his buoyant muzzle, they curled and stretched looking like specks of dust when the sun hit them just right. the sun! morning had come with an expectancy that the stallion couldn't discover. it had come too soon, he had only been here a few moments, and in the first few moments it had been dark with a lithe glow in the east.
hmmm, strange... was all koi's mind could think of. limbs moved onward at a jog now, lenses glanced over his surroundings over once and a while so he wouldn't totally spook if anything did come. neb released almost strangled breaths as the chilled oxy embedded itself into the almost raw tissue inside his nostrils. duos flickered constantly, seeking out that of any volume that scattered among the steppe. pistons slowed.
dome tossed itself skyward, lenses flickered about the azure heavens, aye it were a sight. blue in hue speckled with pearl were the colors that made the atmosphere up. dome lowered, as he managed to rumble out a low, audible noise, a wicker. it was the first sound he had many for many days, it felt weird vibrating within his ribcage. 'brow' rose as he questioned his own voice, it sounded deep, like thunder, though slightly soft, like the rain that fell with an oncomming storm.
vocals rung again, this time a bit more fierce than he expected, this was it. fem? what is it you want? lenses flickered to and fro, watching, waiting for her to speak. maw grazed the earthen for a minute as he inhaled the pine sent, though it stayed there only moments before he threw his dome up again.
silence was the only thing that you could hear for miles. pinions flickered with movement as he stood there waiting for her to do something. lenses flickered again, waiting, yet again for something to happen. bante whisked at his sides, removing that of the snow that rid his back, dome shoved forth, urging her to speak.
he gasped for breath as something startled him from behind, pistons wheeled the stallion around to view the disturbance behind him. lenses only seeked out that of a very ugly bird, he muttered under his breath. dome shook again, this time letting his airgette fall in random places about his bow, forlock merely falling about his facade. i haven't all day speak now or loose me. mind thought randomly.
i want to see the t w i n k l e in your e y e s for you are the only thing i have l e f t

Try to understand me,
My ebony flints had rung out against the territory as I had made my way there. I was well aware I was making noise. It was on purpose too. I felt that since I was trespassing on the land, I should atleast give the ruler the courtesy of knowing where I was. Courtesy, when did I ever gain that? I guess I've always had it, lingering in the back of my mind.
My thoughts were a jumbled mess when I'd arrived, not entirely sure of why I had come. All I knew was that he was coming, and it was not smart to face him alone. Not smart at all. So then was I here for a truce? No, more of an alliance. And perhaps a friendship was also what I'd come here for. But if I'd return with either was the even bigger question floating around my brain. A shook my boa quickly, in a vain attempt to clear my thoughts.
Auds attuned all too quickly to the mass that was moving my way. Perhaps this was the lord, perhaps not? The tyrant smelled of the one they call Koi, so I assumed him to be that. But perhaps a presumption was not a wise choice. I would find out soon, as orbs confirmed that the brute was moving my way. Auds swiveled too and fro to catch his voice from beneath me. It was one of the nicer vocals I'd heard all week, and it almost comforted me. But not quite. I had to remind myself who I was, and why I was here. I was San Haruba, and I trusted no one. But perhaps this one could be trusted, I surely would need his help.
I could feel my eyes dancing with amusement as he startled at the ugly fowl. I had known the bird was resting there, and it gave me an unexpected grin on my maw when the other realized it suddenly. I decided I should answer him, drawing up first a deep breath from my nares. I too could scent the air heavy laden with pine needles, and it was welcome. It cleared my mind a bit as I replied to him, calling out down to him,
You've answered my call, so I assume you be the leader, no? And what I want is an alliance dear brute.
The quite hum of the world coming to life broke the silence shortly after I did. Birds began thier music, as horrid and annoying as it may be. I awaited an answer, not letting my guard down for a moment. After all, I was not on my home turf, and did not know this land well. And come to think of it, I didn't know the stag well either....
And you'll just get lost
ooc- my first attempt at 1st person, sorry if it sucked!

d r o w n i n g now, i look to the s h o r e and to only see y o u waiting for my r e t u r n
cocoa lenses watched as the fem arose from the concealment of the terrain. breath emit from him as mist slightly dances with the lithe turbulent that break the semi-frictionless oxy, lenses tear through almost locked upon the fem. russet in hue, the stallion stood there, pinions close to being square, dome held comfortably horizontal, as a western showmanship horse would do in the ring; koi was far from ever being contained within human clutches. the stallion chuckled at the thought.
acute duos flickered as her voice rang out aloft the silent terrain, it echoed away from the stilled atmosphere, lenses watched as her velveteen moved to speak all the syllables. facades twitched as she spoke those words, for he knew what this lead up to, and aye it twas a mess indeed. though koi clutched it and replied. yes i be the leader of this terrain.. and an alliance you want huh, well it may seem that you've stumbled in the wrong direction... you needn't rest here... taught vocals rung out easily, snaring and bouncing off of every solid projectile. silence rung out for a mere second before the world thrived with sound again.
is this why i love her? lenses toyed with the mountain range, letting them rest upon the peak. he watched as the snow fell lightly in the distance, it was lovely seeing the snow gently cascade into the mountain peaks, it was all blurry though, well before you reached the peak. it wouldn't take that long for the snow to reach the two equines, not long at all.
a a strong gust of polar wind whipped through the land not soon after the stallion had glanced to the peaks. a low wicker emitted his maw as he muttered to himself. mist curled about his muzzle and neb as he spoke to none other than himself solely. trendles bounced and toyed at his bow as the russet hued stallion chased the cold from his torso. lenses flickered about the fem, she seemed content enough, though he questioned her slightly, upon why she was here. but that he would solve some other day, right now though, he had a deeper statement for the fem. vocals bubbled. well then, if that is all that you came to me for, then well, i guess you are dismissed... for the reason that you have came here is beyond the fact that you chose my land to trance upon. lenses flickered to the fems.
iridecent flurries had begun to dance upon the air as he moved to conceal himself from the dampness of the snow, lenses flickered to the fem again, and the truth was, koi knew that he couldn't just leave her out in the cold like that, no, he wasn't like that. he sighed and vocals arose. fem, please would you do me the favor of joining me in shelter under these trees, for the snow, it might cause you to sicken yourself... it was sencere enough, koi did mean what he said, yes he did.
my life is t a k e n, but my l o v e is with you.

Try to love me,
Orbs clung to the sunrise a bit longer, wishing that the moment could have been stopped, all time standing still. 'Twas a gorgeous sight to see the sun just peeking out over the hills and mountains, as if it was deciding whether to come out or not. But of course, it did. For that was its duty, and that was what it had to do. San sighed for a moment, thinking of all the hours wasted in life by doing your "duty." Orbs tore themselves away from the sight to focus on the brute while he talked.
Auds held his voice while he spoke. Body shivered lightly, for cold was setting in. The temperature had dropped greatly since San had entered the Silver Woods. Globes noticed his distraction to the peaks. She too turned her boa to stare at them. The snow was falling picture perfectly on them, and this was a rare sight for San. She knew that all too soon ice would set in, making the way home rough. She had to make a decision as he spoke. He had invited her to come take shelter with him. She did not know whether or not to trust him...
She weighed her options in her mind. She did need to return home, but she assumed Greg could take care of the filly. And since no others were supposed to be in her realm, she felt it alright to stay here. More importantly, as much as she hated to admit it, she would need Koi's help.
Pistons had cooled from her travels and were beginning to freeze. She shook her fire hued pelt for warmth, shaggy hair protecting her. She spoke clearly to the brute below her, her voice ringing out against the trees as she spoke,
Aye, I shall stay with you till the storm passes.
It was not as if she couldn't make if through the storm alone. She was strong enough. It may not be pleasant, but she could do it. And she may very well have too. The woods did not seem to have many caves as the Valley did. San shook her head once more, banner waving in the gust of wind that picked up, howling angrily through the trees. Flints moved carefully, pistons slow and steady as San made her way down to the brute. With a closer look she could notice his finely colored pelt, and his chassis nice and strong. But San had long since given up on caring about such things. She was not like the other brujas who lusted after stags, no. She was different from them.
She spoke briskly to the tyrant that now stood before her,
Where be this supposed shelter, Koi?
and you'll just get hurt
