 [glow=white,2,300]Hidden Treasure walked slowly upon this land, hoping that this was the right place. She stopped and sniffed the air; this place smelled of foals and mothers, this was definitely the right place. Treasure lowered her dial and nibbled on a blade of grass, slightly nervous about the days to come. Her swollen belly slowed her down, and ate away her energy like a termite at dead wood.
Tired, Treasure laid down, laying her dial between her front pistons. She sighed, hoping that another equine would come. Storm was here somewhere, but exactly where she was not sure. Oh, what I would give for this foal to be all right, she thought. The funny thing was that she didn't know when she was having the baby.
"Ah well, at least I'm here early." she muttered to herself.[/glow] |

[glow=red,2,300]Storm walked up to Treasure and nuzzled her comfortingly. He knew his sudden appearence might have startled her, but he wanted to hurry. She could have their foal at any moment, and he wanted to be there. Now he could see she had no signs of going into labour, but he was still glad he was there. "Hello Treasure, I can see your doing fine at the moment, but I'll still stay here in case anything does happen."
He touched his muzzle to hers, then cocked his hind piston and drooped his lower kisser. He wasn't going to fall asleep, but it wouldn't do any hurt to have a little nap. He knew Treasure would alert him if anything happened, so he lowered his dial and fell into a light sleep.

[glow=white,2,300]Treasure looked up as her beloved Storm approached. She smiled, her dial held high. She snorted in greeting and nuzzled him affectionally.
"Hello, Storm."
She smiled again and laid her dial between her front pistons. As her mate dozed off, she lifted her dial once more and looked around. No other equines here, she thought happily. Satisfied, she laid her dial in between her pistons and closed her eyes.

[glow=red,2,300]Storm woke a little while later and saw that his mate was asleep beside him. He lowered his pistons and stretched his boa, trying to wake up a little better. Trying hard not to disturb his mate, he lowered his dial and began to nibble on the dewey green stalks. As he grazed, he flared his nares, aware of the different smells around him. It smelt different from the lands he was used to, the lands of trees, grass and rushing rivers. This place had one smell, and this was what it was; foals. That was it, just foals.
As Storm continued to graze, he wondered how many babes had been born since breeding season a little while ago. He raised his dial, his auds pricked as he searched for any other equines around, but could find none. Good thing no one's here, he thought happily. Soon he would be a sire, and he was bursting with pride.[/glow] |

[glow=red,2,300]Storm pricked his ears at the approaching equine. He was sure he'd seen this mare atleast once before, put he couldn't remember it. Of course! he thought. Now I remember! As she spoke, he glanced at the small foal beside her. He wondered if this meant that Treasure would go into labour soon. Once the mare finished speaking, he replied. "Yes, that be our names. And you're Dharma I assume, but I don't know this little one here's name." He looked directly at the babe now that he had spoken of her...or him.
He looked back to the dozing Treasure and wondered what would happen. Would she be ok? Would the foal be ok? Seeing how happy Dharma was, he forced himself to smile too, forced himself to think the foal would be alright. "I'm guessing this little one is the heir of the Ruins that I've heard of once or twice."[/glow] |

"Yes, it is. I've yet to know much about it; let alone it's name or sex. I've come to calling it Filthy, for unknown reasons I must admit. I'm waiting for Filth to return to name this little one just born yesterday you see. I'm sure you will be fine Treasure. Coming from a dark, I know it won't mean much, but if you think of it as coming from a first time mother myself, you'd find what I'm telling you to be most comforting."
Dharma looked at Treasure as she said this.
"It isn't as hard as it may seem Treasure. Some make too much of a deal, but it's not so bad."
Dharma's foal went to Treasure and sniffed her thoroughly. It nickered and returned to Dharma to nurse...[/color][/size]

"Filthy does sound like a good name, considering it was sired by Filth, but he might not name it that." As the foal began to nurse, he triedto imagine hisown babe, what it would look like when it was born, what gender it would be, but he couldn't. He had never been able to imagine things like that, so he settled on watching Dharma's little foal nurse.
As Dharma spoke to Treasure, Storm pricked his ears in her direction, hoping the words were true. He knew all he had been thinking about was what would happen if the foal didn't come properly, and he had tried to stop. But just staring at Dharma's foal melted all his worries away, and gave him new hope. This foal willbe healthy, I know it will.[/glow] |

[glow=white,2,300]Treasure gasped as the small foal came out of her body. She looked away, hoping that the foal wasn't deformed or anything of the sort. As she looked back, she saw a small filly, a dark palomino with stockings. Nickering to Storm, she turned back to her small filly and nuzzled her with her soft muzzle. Her orbs showed happiness as the foal attempted to stand. When the filly finally got it right, she praised the foal and stood up herself. As Storm came over, she asked him,
"What should we name him, dear Storm?" [/glow] |

[glow=red,2,300]Storm gazed happily at his new foal as it stood, and he nickered quietly, as to not startle her. At Treasure's question, he looked up to the sky, and wondered. He then parted his kissers, looking back at Treasure, and spoke. "I don't know m'love. I was thinking of something like a cross between our two names, or it could be something new." He walked slowly up to his new filly as it looked at him, and nuzzled her gently.
He then nuzzled Treasure and touched his muzzle to hers, gazing into her bright eyes. His eyes were also bright, shimmering like the twinkling stars of night. When he finally looked away from Treasure and back at the foal, he sighed heavily and contentedly. He was a sire![/glow] |
